Biography

Luke Priest, who lives in our village, invited me to watch him race at a grasstrack meeting and I decided that I would like to have a go at that!

Gary Appleby, secretary of the Formula Grasstrack Assocation, built me a 125cc Honda grasstrack bike which is still going strong today. I first "rode" it at Bridgnorth and began to taste the excitement of the sport.

Year 2000 I was cub champion for the Wrekin, Manchester and Whitchurch clubs and won the "Best Pairs" competition. Also voted "Riders Rider of the Year" and "Most Improved Rider of the Year".

Year 2001 I became the Junior Champion for the FGA and Wrekin GTC and won the "Best Pairs" competition. Also voted again "Riders Rider of the Year" and scored the most points in the year.

International event in Eenrum, Holland I rode with my fellow FGA junior riders - we were the first 125cc, 4 stroke riders to enter an international event and I came 2nd in the final. I have ridden many times in Holland and made many friends with Dutch and German riders.

Year 2002 I decided to try schoolboy grasstrack and enjoyed meeting more friends and riders.
